Myths about deepfakes

Deepfakes have become overgrown with myths. Let’s break down the most popular:

“It’s complicated and expensive” - no. Previously, yes, now the result is in two clicks and cheaper than a cup of coffee. MindlyFlow makes face swapping accessible without graphics cards or subscriptions.

“This is for celebrities only” - no. Place your face in any frame, place the face of a cat - the model works with any face.

“It’s illegal” - no. Replacing faces in your own photos for entertainment purposes is completely legal. Limitations begin where common sense ends: Don’t use deepfake to deceive, impersonate someone else in official documents, or create pornographic content without consent.

“The result always looks unrealistic” - the quality has increased greatly over the past year. On good sources, only an expert will notice the difference from a real photo.

What about ethics

We think it’s important to talk about this directly. Deepfake is a powerful tool, and like any powerful tool, it can be used for good and for harm.

At MindlyFlow we adhere to the following principles:

Use technology responsibly and it will bring a lot of pleasure and benefit.

Try it yourself

Theory is good, but you need to try a deepfake with your own hands to appreciate how far the technology has come. The first tokens after registration are free - experiments cost nothing.

Upload a couple of photos, click the button and see what happens. Spoiler alert: you’ll spend the next hour putting your face in every iconic scene that comes to mind. And that’s okay—deepfake is addictive.
